Juan
C A. Giachino, Jr., MD
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons Medical Director
Dr. Giachino, Jr., earned his BS from Boston College, his MS from S.U.N.Y at Buffalo and his MD from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his Plastic Surgery training at the prestigious Lahey Clinic in Boston, Mass. Dr. Giachino and his father, Dr. Juan Giachino, Sr., are principals in Plastic Surgery Associates where they offer the latest advances in cosmetic as well as reconstructive surgery.
Chel
Tassey
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Chel brings to TrueGlo MedSpa 17 years of experience in the aesthetic industry. She is a dynamic, top performing professional with a creative spirit. Chel owned and operated a day spa for eight years and has been a licensed Massage Therapist for 15 years. She has a successful, extensive and varied background including real estate, fashion design, wholesale and retail marketing. She manages the medspa and facilitates all daily operations. Her responsibilities include supervising the staff, budget analysis, public relations, quality care, marketing and advertising, website coordination, and supply and control.
Outside of the office, Chel has recently ventured into a new vocation, the film industry. She is a producer for the full-length feature film Turkles; due to be released soon. In addition, she volunteers at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach and produced a promotional documentary for them. Chel is a Palm Beach County native and currently resides in Jupiter with her husband, Rob, two dogs and three bunnies.
Melissa
Amanti Pollock
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
Melissa was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Haiti and South Florida. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Florida State University in 1996, and worked as a charge nurse in Intensive Care for 3 years before returning to graduate school. Melissa graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Florida State University as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in the year 2000. She worked in primary care for 6 years prior to specializing in the field of cosmetic dermatology/aesthetics in 2006.
Mrs. Pollock is a published author. Having led and conducted her own research study, her results and analysis of the study were published in the Journal of Perinatal Education.
Melissa is a certified Candela Laser and IPL operator, specializing in photorejuvenation, laser skin tightening, laser vein/lesion treatment, and laser hair removal. She holds certifications in Advanced Aesthetics; and in advanced BOTOX® injection techniques. She has extensive training and experience in a multitude of cosmetic dermatologic procedures such as on and off label neurotoxin and filler injections (facial contouring, cheek augmentation, hand rejuvenation, and lip augmentation).
Melissa is fluent in Spanish and Haitian Creole and has working knowledge of French and Italian. She currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and children.
Andrea
Nicole Bottke
Medical Esthetician
Andrea was born and raised in South Florida. She graduated from the Esthetics program at Palm Beach Academy in 2005. She has been with TrueGlo since that time and has served her clients with enthusiasm, insight and compassion. She is a certified Ionithermie Detox and Body Shape Technician. She has extensive training in the most current skin care technology and continues to receive advanced certifications throughout the year. Andrea offers a full range of services including traditional and specialized facials, vibradermabrasion, chemical peels, waxing, cellulite detoxification treatments and more. She has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of our highest quality and medical grade skin care products including OBAGI®, BENEV, DNA and Colorescience® mineral cosmetics. She currently resides in Jupiter, Florida.
Joyce Balevic
Medical Esthetician
Originally from the Ocean State, Joyce brings over 25 years of aesthetic experience to TrueGlo. Joyce is licensed in Florida, Rhode Island, and North Carolina and is considered to be an expert in facial rejuvenation. She has worked extensively in dermatology and utilizes state of the art techniques that include glycolic acid, TCA, and other chemical peels along with Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, and Ultra Sonic treatments. Joyce provides patients with education on products procedures, techniques, and skin care counseling.
Jane
Schaas
Spa Coordinator
Prior to joining TrueGlo MedSpa, Jane was employed by Leisegang Medical, a manufacturer of women’s healthcare products. She held several positions over her 13-year tenure at the company, including International Sales Manager of their Surgical Products Division. Jane is originally from Pennsylvania and has lived in Florida for over 25 years. She currently resides in Jupiter. A graduate of Robert Morris Community College in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, she also attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and has a license in Real Estate.
Gwen Pitcairn
Spa Coordinator
Gwen is attending Palm Beach State College where she will be graduating with a degree in Health Information Management in December of 2011, along with a certificate in medical billing and coding. She has had previous careers as an international flight attendant as well as a professional ballet dancer and ballet teacher. Gwen has lived in the Tequesta area for over 25 years.
