Dull Skin, Peach Fuzz, and Makeup That Won’t Sit Right
If your skin looks flat no matter what you do, the surface is usually the problem:
- Fine peach fuzz catches light and makes skin look dull and flat.
- A layer of dead skin cells leaves a rough, uneven texture.
- Foundation clings to facial hair and looks cakey or patchy.
- Serums and moisturizers sit on the surface rather than being absorbed.
- Skin looks tired in photos, especially in natural light.
All of that lives on the very top layer of your skin. Clear it away, and everything underneath instantly looks brighter.

Dermaplaning vs. Microdermabrasion vs. Chemical Peels
All three exfoliate, but they work differently and suit different goals. Here is how dermaplaning compares:
Does Dermaplaning Make Hair Grow Back Thicker?
This is the most common dermaplaning myth, and it is not true. Dermaplaning only removes vellus hair, the soft, fine peach fuzz on your face. Because it never touches the hair follicle, it cannot change your hair’s thickness, color, or growth rate.
As board-certified dermatologists confirm, vellus hair grows back exactly as it was. Regrowth can feel slightly different at first, only because the blade cut the tip bluntly; once it grows out, it returns to its usual soft texture. Vellus hair is completely different from the coarse terminal hair on your scalp or brows, and dermaplaning cannot turn one into the other.
